Luckily, car manufacturers have equipped the exhaust manifold with cast iron, stainless steel, or an alloy that can withstand high temperatures. However, there’s a limit to how hot these materials can be to avoid overheating.

This implies that the exhaust manifold can be hot enough to cause burns or injuries when touched, especially after a long journey, and it can also be warm.

Either way, I won’t advise you to touch your engine manifold with your bare hands after a long journey to prevent burns and fix all leaks in your engine compartment.
